St Johns Southgate fanfare

The dedication of new Baroque timpani calls for a fanfare, including natural trumpets and melodies based on a Bach cantata. St Johns Southgate commissioned the piece as a companion to an earlier work involving oboi da'caccia and Baroque chamber organ. The music of Bach permeates the iconic Lutheran church south of the Yarra, thanks to a regular cantata programme lasting over ten years.
