Rotary commission brass band fanfare

Rotary District 9800 have commissioned a fanfare for their conference in Bendigo in April 2024. The premiere will be given at the conference by the Victorian State Youth Brass Band, at the Ulumbarra Theatre. VSYBB patron Merlyn Quaife is working with Rotary staff to create a suitable dedication that will reflect Rotary’s aesthetic, and guide my work in helping the event and the band in their journeys.

The opening event will also feature guest vocalists and the Bendigo Youth Choir.

Recent work for youth band or junior band includes the concert work Summit for the Hyde Street Junior Band, who won their division with the work at the National Championships in 2023. Summit is published by BrookWright, who will also publish this fanfare later in 2024
