ACOF 1997 in Hobart

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra premiered Cortège in the historic Odean theatre in Hobart. The performance was part of the 1997 Australian Composers Orchestra Forum, conducted by David Porcelijn. Andrew Batterham was a participant, along with Dominik Karski, Paul Stanhope, Kirsty Beilharz, and David Morgan. The tutor was Richard Mills.

Cortège explores new directions, and the forum was a great chance to see a professional orchestra at work, and gain feedback on what works well in an orchestral setting. It is available from the Australian Music Centre, and can be heard here
