Australia Council grant for Spring Music

The composition of Piano Sonata #2 Spring Music will be assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its funding and advisory body. The sonata is part of post-graduate studies undertaken at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and will be recorded by Melbourne pianist Natasha Lin.

Spring Music is a musical exploration and depiction of indigenous knowledge surrounding early and late spring. The composer wishes to acknowledge the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages, and the Wurundjeri Tribe Land and Compensation Cultural Heritage Council for their advice on matters involving Woi-wurrung words and the Wurundjeri culture.
