ANAM Set commission

Andrew has been included in the ANAM Set, Australia’s most ambitious commission project.

The Australian National Academy of Music have partnered with the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund, an Australian Government initiative, to commission a new work for every student currently studying at ANAM. This will result in a lot of exciting new Australian music specifically tailored to suit each young musician. Other composers involved include Paul Grabowsky, Deborah Cheetham, Ross Edwards, Melody Eotvos, ELena Kats-CHernin, Liza Lim, Brenton Broadstock and Anthony Pateras.

Andrew will be writing for trumpeter Joel Walmsley, and the work will be premiered at Joel’s recital later in the year. ANAM also intends to film each performance.
